In the words of Commissioner Oettinger: "Apart from being the world’s leading industrial trade fair, HANNOVER MESSE has now taken on the role of pioneer in the digitalization of industry. For the European Commission, it has become a key platform for the sharing of information and ideas, and as a place for debating the future of European industry."

The next HANNOVER MESSE will be staged from 24 to 28 April 2017, with Poland to be featured as its official Partner Country.

USA Partner Land 2016 pushing hard for TTIP at the Hannover Fair

President Obama Opened Hannover Messe with a Pitch for TPP and a Shoutout to 3D Printing in the US

President Obama dominated the news in the weekend leading up to the fair. Not only was it an historical event with his visit, it was also an opportunity to promote TTIP and also levy areas of diplomacy as he traveled from Saudi Arabia to England to celebrate the 90 th birthday of the Queen. His arrival in Hannover boosted security as the population was awed by Airforce One helicopter fly overs and the Beast, his armored limo. Preaching unification, his presence helped to support the American standards which will help usher in the future of robotics and industry together with Germany, Japan, China and other nations of the world.

While the traditional media floods the waves with their versions of news, we like to bring a variety of perspectives and opinions. Our fourth year together at CeBIT and the Hannover, we have seen the arrival of Industry 4.0 and 3 D printing explode as the machines become larger and smarter, feeling and thinking, taking over roles that only five years earlier would have only been manipulated with human hands.
Let's make a list

Precons come to life as Terminator is a possibility
Following on the heels of Obama, the day was spent visiting together with thousands of students and prior to the women in business closing day. A few standouts that I noticed were SEW, Universal Robots and Kawasaki, these exhibitors were amazing the guests with their presentations. Entering through Hall One, Phoenix Contact showed they were ready to party with their green day glo El Camino tailgate show. Complete with grill, beer keg and flat screen, the Pennsylvania, USA company was the best pre game show up front and they also had a moment with Merkel and Obama which is noteworthy. Universal Robots is already employing robots alongside men and women in warehouses packing pallets of food and other boxed products.
